It’s used very narrowly most times. “One man, One woman and their young child(ren)” Miriam Webster lists that definition as 5a.
It is now being used by Babeland, a sex toy shop. The two ideas are not meant to co-exist.

I hate this, too. I once heard a reporter call a place “both kid and adult friendly.”
