Evel Knievel is dead
An icon of my childhood, one of the most important men alive in the 1970s (after Muhammad Ali), has passed at age 69.
Age did what gravity and his utter fearlessness could not. Farewell to a daredevil.

I couldn’t agree more. There was photo of him a day or two before he died and he looked pretty bad. Fearless doesn’t even begin to describe this man.
Cool Site!

Evel was a low-down wretch of an individual in many was, I’ve been told, but his personna back in the day was something else.
It’s odd to watch videos of his jumps because he wore no padding at all, that I could see…. there was none of the battle armor motocross racers wear today.
