Here’s the proof:

Tom Gryder is not your average hiker.


Gryder is legally blind, and Friday he finished a six-day hike through Glacier National Park’s backcountry.


With the help of Shadow, his guide dog of three years, along with a group from the Glacier Wilderness Guides, Gryder hiked from Upper Two Medicine to the Walton Ranger Station, averaging seven miles a day.

This guy can see far away, just not up close, so he’s not totally blind, but still: think about everything on the trail that has nothing to do with vision. Quite a bit, actually.
