So what happened was, I was looking into an interesting job that would’ve required relocating on the other side of the country. Didn’t pan out so it looks like I’ll be here for the duration. Which, given the surroundings, is hardly a bad thing.

Then I heard about the Eagle Scout’s project at Almaden Quicksilver last weekend and spent most of my spare time this past week working on a story about it for the paper (tentatively set for Jan. 31).  So, I think I can finally get back to having a hiking blog worth reading.

Sorry things have been so slow around here of  late but I’m hoping they pick up.  After all, it’s mud season now, which makes every hike that much more charming.
