There is the small<br \/>\nissue (in here, all issues are small) that the kitchen is also the dining room,<br \/>\nso it&#8217;s hard to find pretty pictures when the background is full of the industrial-strength<br \/>\nimplements of holiday excess.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/tommangan.net\/archives\/images\/11-25-04-tday\/tday1.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"303\" border=\"1\">\n<\/p>\n<p>This is as elegant as it gets around these parts. Melissa kept the table understated<br \/>\nso as not to detract from the food. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/tommangan.net\/archives\/images\/11-25-04-tday\/tday2.jpg\" width=\"350\" height=\"325\" border=\"1\">\n<\/p>\n<p>There it is: the boid. Melissa spread butter under the skin and basted it about<br \/>\na million times. There was no dry turkey breast in these parts, thank you very<br \/>\nmuch. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/tommangan.net\/archives\/images\/11-25-04-tday\/tday3.jpg\" width=\"320\" height=\"350\" border=\"1\">\n<\/p>\n<p>Melissa gets the gravy ready. Not that this turkey needed gravy, mind you.<br \/>\nIt was just one of those nice-to-have things. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/tommangan.net\/archives\/images\/11-25-04-tday\/tday4.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"259\" border=\"1\"><\/p>\n<p>Melissa&#8217;s homemade pumpkin pie &#8212; she made the crust from scratch and added<br \/>\nupmteen spices and secret ingredients to some canned pumpkin.
