Here’s the thing: Saturday was stormy, Sunday seemed like more of the same, but turned into a beautiful day only after it was too late to do anything about it. So I have no hike hike to report this week.

However, I also know that some of y’all out there must’ve taken your dirt-walking duties more seriously and will have links to prove it. So please leave evidence of your travels in the form of a comment. Don’t worry if it sits in the “to be approved” file for awhile, I’ll get to it eventually.

Think of this as the “open thread” thing those popular blogs do because they have so many readers that somebody’s bound to post something cool and that’ll lead somebody else to post something cool and before you know it, the blog’s owners have been spared the trouble of producing any original content on their own.

Here’s one to get you started: check out this link, which sorts all the hikes at Everytrail.com by country, and see what cool stuff you can find in cool places such as Estonia. Better yet: Greenland. Better better yet: Madagascar.

OK, it’s true that I have an off-and-on business relationship with EveryTrail but it is completely unrelated to the fact that people are posting all kinds of evidence of global coolness there.

Then after you’ve posted your comment, someday when FaceTwit has taken over the Internet your friends can stumble across it and marvel at how old-school you are because you still read blogs and add comments.
