That was fast and didn&#8217;t hurt a bit. But judging from the way he was placing his hands on my shoulder and chin, and sort of pushing me away and down at an odd angle, I could have sworn it would have ended on the 11 o&#8217;clock news. I learned an important lesson immediately, sitting there, and that&#8217;s that you have to be fully present for this kind of treatment. It really requires you to understand your back and its problems and have reason to trust your doctor. I&#8217;ve got a good doctor who explained everything in detail and even gave me a pop quiz after he was done.
