Hey, I got married, that&#8217;s enough commitment for one life. This morning I found all sorts of evidence of high country wanderings, such as: <\/p>\n<p>Calipidder has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.calipidder.com\/gallery\/gallery2\/v\/eastcal\/gba4x4\/?g2_page=1\">posted a bunch of pix<\/a> from her weekend of four-wheeling and geocaching.<\/p>\n<p>Rebecca also posted a comment referring Mount Whitney hopefuls to Mount Langley, another &#8220;easy California Fourteener.&#8221; I googled said mount and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.summitpost.org\/mountain\/rock\/150246\/mount-langley.html\">found this page telling how to get up there.<\/a>  I also stumbled upon this interesting discussion: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.summitpost.org\/phpBB2\/viewtopic.php?t=24816&#038;postdays=0&#038;postorder=asc&#038;highlight=rank&#038;start=0\">California Fourteeners, from easiest to hardest<\/a>. One writer&#8217;s assessment of the five easiest: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>1. White Mountain &#8211; 14 miles RT &#8211; Class 1 &#8211; ~2000+ feet elevation gain <\/p>\n<p>2. Mt. Split Mountain &#8211; ? miles RT &#8211; Class 2\/3 &#8211; ? elevation gain &#8211; North Ridge Route via Red Lake <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Speaking of Whitney, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sierradescents.com\/hiking\/whitney\/2007\/mountaineers-route.php\">here&#8217;s a nice write-up<\/a> about a daring chap going up the Mountaineer&#8217;s Route. <\/p>\n<p>The worthy <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sierradescents.com\/blog\/\">Sierra Descents<\/a> blog points to another fine blog for big-hill adventurers: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sierrajournal.com\/\">Sierra Journal,<\/a> written by a Bay Area techie. <\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t worry if the boss busts you scanning these links on the company dime.
