Lot’s of people say they get depressed at this time of year, which is sad. But regular, vigorous exercise and exposure to daylight have clearly been shown to alleviate at least some seasonal depression, and this may be the best time of year of all for bare-ground sports like mountain biking, hiking and backpacking, rock climbing or for something flat-out fun like disc golf or geocaching.
