Here’s a list of all the hikes planned over the weekend of May 3-6. The free public festival is all day Saturday, the fifth, in Black Mountain, NC., just down the road from Asheville.
I’m thinking we need us one of these festivals in California. I can’t bear the thought of the Carolinas having something we haven’t got.
You mean CA doesn’t already have 50 of them? Wow, guess the southeast finally evens it up. After all, you can’t walk 10 steps out there without tripping over something named Muir… 😉
Actually the real birthplace of hiking in the U.S. is along the Appalachian Trail; Californians are upstarts by comparison.
