Scubaman is just outside of Warner Springs on the Pacific Crest Trail:

My latest start yet. I was not under way until after 9 AM. It was cold outside and my clothes still damp. The sleeping bag felt so toasty I couldn’t peel myself away. About 10 miles along I came upon a real oasis. Here I am in the dry desert, little water anywhere since the start. Then all of a sudden I hit oak trees with a good flowing spring. A great spot for a long rest.

It was also just after the 100 mile mark. Yay me! The next 4 miles crossed some flat, dry, grassy valley. I saw a rabbit so big I thought it was a deer. Not long after I reached another lightly wooded area along a creek. It was contaminated with cow poop but made for a nice camp spot.
