His new site is called backpackingvideos.com and it already has a few nifty videos posted.

Jason is the creator of the handy and popular Homemade Backpacking Gear site.

Jason’s on-cam presence is pretty solid for a beginner, and his video on venting an alcohol stove wind screen is tightly edited and well-constructed. Also, extra credit for digging up an old Grand Funk Railroad song as soundtrack for a Canyonlands camping trip. (Confession: I used to work with a guy who knew “Sweet Sweet Connie” from “We’re American Band.” Had the whole show, he used to say.)

Speaking of Canyonlands, Rick at Best Hikes endorses pretty much all the hikes out of Moab.

(Props to Cutter, who scooped me by two days on this one.)
