The math was pretty basic: revenue from ads on the Cat blog was dimes compared to the dollars I’m getting writing a couple articles a month for Trailspace.
Also, I need to maintain at least some level of fitness to keep hiking, whereas financial blogging would’ve just made me fatter in the waist but not fatter in the wallet.
I still think the company blog idea is workable over the long haul, though. I just don’t think it has to be me making that haul.
