A research team says it’s essentially true, and that, actually, taking 10 or fifteen seconds to grab a bit of food off the floor is safe, too, SportsGeezer reports. No word on whether it’s trail-safe, but the next time you spill your trail mix all over the kitchen floor you can rest easy about scooping it all up, dumping it into a baggie and sharing it with your hiking club next time out. Just don’t mention the spillage until after you’re done, though.
