Searchers found the body of Barbara Cooper, 56, who had been missing since July 20, yesterday on a hillside in the Terra Linda Ridge area. From cbs5.com:

Cooper, an artist and avid hiker, was reported missing July 20 when a friend she was temporarily living with in Richmond became concerned when she had not returned home after a span of two days. The friend presumed Cooper had gone on a hiking trip.

Cooper reportedly loved hiking in the open spaces of the Mount Tamalpais Watershed, Crain said.

Details are sketchy, though authorities don’t suspect foul play. A post at Craigslist reports the disappearance of a woman of the same name and age as suffering from late-stage hepatitis C and liver failure.
